Terms and Conditions

1. APPLICATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 By making a reservation through the online booking system on the www.gaints-causeway-holiday.com website, you agree to be bound by the following conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by the following conditions you should not make any bookings through this website.

2. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of these conditions;

2.1 “GCHV” means Giants Causeway Holiday Village, The Diamond, Portstewart, BT55 7JW, Northern Ireland

2.2 “the Service” means Self Catering Accommodation and/or facilities provided by the GCHV

2.3 “the Deposit” means 30% of the Total Accommodation Cost if booked more than 42 days prior to the “the Arrival Date” or 100% if booked within 42 days of “the Arrival date”.

2.4 “Self Catering Accommodation” means self contained holiday accommodation such as apartments and town houses.

2.5 “Total Accommodation Cost” means the total cost of the Service together with the total cost of any Additional Requirements

2.6 “Additional Requirements” means any additional facilities or services required by you not included in the Service

2.7 “Due Date” means the date detailed on the Booking Form for payment of the balance of the Total Accommodation Cost to the Provider

2.8 “the Booking Form” means the booking form confirming details and Total Accommodation Cost of the reservation of the Service available on line to You for downloading or issued by GCHV on completion of a booking.

2.9 “the Arrival Date” means the date scheduled for arrival at the accommodation as detailed on the Booking Form

2.10 “the Departure Date” means the date scheduled for departure from the accommodation as detailed on the Booking Form

3. INTERPRETATION

3.1 the paragraph headings in these terms are for ease of reference only, and are not to be taken into account in the construction or interpretation of the clause or paragraph to which they refer.

3.2 words importing the singular meaning include, where the context so admits, the plural meaning, and vice versa.

3.3 words of one gender include both other genders, and words denoting natural persons include corporations and firms

3.4 where the Guest comprises two or more parties, the obligations of the Guest are in relation to each party joint as several

3.5 references to any particular piece of legislation includes reference to any statutory extension, modification or re-enactment of same

4. GUEST OBLIGATIONS

If making your online reservation

4.1 You agree to provide all of the information requested by GCHV and to pay the Deposit to GCHV by credit or debit card, or PayPal

4.2 You must inform GCHV by email info@giants-casueway-holiday.com or telephone +44 (0)800 112 3899 of any condition you or a member of your party is subject to and which may require special facilities or Additional Requirements in relation to the Service

4.3 The information provided to GCHV will be held on a database and will not be shared with any other companies in accordance with the data protection principles contained in the Data Protection Act 1998

4.4 You agree to pay the balance of the total Accommodation Cost to GCHV on the Due Date

4.5 You agree that your credit/debit card details will be held by PayPal and by doing so you authorise GCHV to refund any sums due to you on cancellation. You accept that GCHV will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from the transmission of these details to PayPal or from PayPal’s use of these details.

5. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

If you require Additional Requirements, which you failed to specify when making your reservation, you must agree these separately with GCHV, and GCHV gives no warranty or guarantee that these Additional Requirements will be provided. The payment for any Additional Requirements detailed on the Booking Form must be made directly to GCHV. You are advised, if applicable, upon receipt of the Booking Form, to confirm and check the precise terms and conditions upon which GCHV makes available any Additional Requirements.

6. CANCELLATION / FAILURE TO SHOW

6.1 you may cancel your reservation at any time

6.2 if you cancel your reservation

6.2.1 more than 42 days before the Arrival Date you lose your deposit

6.2.2 between 22-42 days before the Arrival Date you forfeit 60% of the Total Accommodation Cost

6.2.3 between 9-21 days before the Annual Date you forfeit 75% of the Total Accommodation Cost

6.2.4 less than 9 days you forfeit 100% of the Total Accommodation Cost

6.3 if you should arrive but end your stay before the Departure Date you agree to pay all reasonable losses and costs incurred by GCHV.

6.4 if you fail to show at the accommodation without notifying GCHV, you forfeit 100% of the Total Accommodation Cost.

7. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

7.1 In respect of Self Catering Accommodation the expected time of arrival is 4:00pm on the Arrival date and the time of departure 11:00am on the Departure Date. (Other arrangements may be made with GCHV on request)

8. DAMAGE DEPOSIT

You will be required to pay a deposit of £100 to the GCHV against any damage or breakage upon arrival. It is the GCHV’s duty to ensure the Accommodation and its facilities are maintained in a safe condition. You agree to accept liability for any loss or damage to the GCHV’s property caused by your intentional, reckless or negligent acts or those of your party

9 SERVICE COMPLAINTS

9.1 All complaints in relation to the Service or Additional Requirements should be made to GCHV to facilitate an early resolution to any such complaint.
